造城，不是結果，而是一座城市持續發生中的進行式。城市，是一個動詞。
"City-making is not an outcome — it is a city's perpetual work in progress." A CITY IS A VERB.
一座城市，從來不是瞬間完成的，而是在人的移動、生活的累積、文化的交會，以及一次次行動之中，持續生成。
「漸構桃園：造城進行式」青年城市展區描繪的，是一座透過設計、創意與行動持續累積、逐步成形的城市。
桃園兼具國際門戶、多元文化、產業發展與青年創新能量，也是一座讓創意相遇、想法實踐，讓人與城市共同成長的城市創新實踐場域。在這裡，設計不只是提出想像，更是一種參與城市、回應城市，並推動改變發生的力量。
本次策展以「聚、構、札、湧、鏈」五個城市動詞為軸線，描繪城市從能量匯聚、創意生成，到地方實踐與跨域連結的動態過程。我們邀請與桃園具有連結的青年設計師，從生活、學習、工作或創作經驗出發，結合自身專業與作品，呈現青年與這座城市之間的多元連結；同時邀集在地實踐團隊與企業參與，並與來自英國、日本及韓國的策展人展開交流與共創，讓青年創意、在地經驗與不同城市視角彼此交會，共同思考桃園的現在與未來。
我們相信，每一個人、每一次行動、每一份創意，都是城市生成的一個節點。當這些節點彼此相遇、連結並付諸實踐，便逐漸匯聚成推動城市前進的力量。
城市不是一個已經完成的答案，而是一場持續進行的共同創作。桃園的未來，也正在一次次的相遇、連結與行動之中，漸構成形。
A city is never made all at once. It takes shape over time—through the movement of people, the rhythms of everyday life, encounters between cultures, and the many actions, large and small, that continually reshape the places we share.
"Shaping Taoyuan: City-Making in Progress" explores Taoyuan as a city in continuous evolution—shaped and reshaped through design, creativity, and action.
As Taiwan's international gateway, Taoyuan is a meeting point for diverse cultures, industries, and youthful creativity. It is a place where creativity converges, ideas take shape, and people and the city grow together—a living laboratory for urban innovation. Here, design is more than an act of imagining; it becomes a force for engaging with the city and shaping its ongoing evolution.
The exhibition unfolds through five urban verbs, "Converge, Form, Root, Emerge, and Connect," illustrating the dynamic process through which a city converges energy, generates creativity, translates ideas into local practice, and builds connections across disciplines. Young designers with ties to Taoyuan have been invited to develop their contributions from their experiences of living, studying, working, or creating in the city, integrating their professional expertise and creative works to reveal their diverse connections with the city. Local practitioners and enterprises have also been invited to participate, while curators from the UK, Japan, and Korea are joining exchanges and collaborative discussions. By bringing together young creative talent, local experience, and perspectives from different cities, the exhibition creates a space for dialogue and collective reflection on Taoyuan's present and future.
Extending this conversation beyond the exhibition, the international forum brings together design practitioners and young people from Taiwan and abroad. Through different urban experiences, design perspectives, and voices from a younger generation, the forum opens a dialogue on how design can respond to urban development and changing ways of life, and how ideas can move beyond imagination to become meaningful forms of action.
We believe that every person, every action, and every creative idea can become part of this ongoing process. As these individual points meet and connect, they form new relationships, generate new possibilities, and gradually contribute to a richer and more multidimensional urban landscape. Taoyuan continues to evolve. Its future will be shaped through the ideas we contribute and the actions we choose to take.
展區介紹Exhibition Zones
本展區以五個動詞展開敘事，介紹「漸構桃園」的五大主題展區，帶出城市持續生成的樣貌。

以點陣向中心匯聚的球體紋理，象徵城市資源、人才與文化能量的凝聚與匯流。

展區設計構想＆理念Exhibition Space Design Concept & Rationale
「漸構城市」將青年與城市的關係轉化為空間語言：青年在城市既有的系統、建設與文化基礎之中，尋找參與的空間，也從中創造新的可能。
展區以一座「持續生成中的城市」為想像，透過材質、線條、光線與不同節點的交織，呈現城市既有脈絡與青年創意彼此作用、持續改變的過程。
展區內的木質框架，象徵城市既有的文化基序；金屬流動摺面，代表青年自由展開的設計論述；線性燈光如同城市光脈，串連行進路徑與不同展示節點；漂浮球體則象徵青年的想法與能量，在城市之中流動、交會與碰撞。
沿著光脈穿梭展區，觀者走過不同展示節點，看見資源如何被串連、創意如何生成，以及青年如何從想法走向實踐。
最後來到球體匯聚而成的場域，不同想法與能量在此相遇、碰撞與累積，象徵青年持續參與城市、提出新的可能，也讓城市在一次次行動之中，不斷生成新的樣貌。
"Shaping the City" translates the relationship between youth and the city into a spatial language. Within the city's existing systems, infrastructure, and cultural foundations, young people find spaces for participation while creating new possibilities.
The exhibition imagines a city continuously in the making. Through the interplay of materials, lines, light, and spatial nodes, it reveals how the city's existing fabric interacts with youth creativity and continues to evolve.
The wooden framework represents the city's existing cultural foundations; the flowing folded metal surfaces express the design narratives freely shaped by young people; the linear lighting, like veins of light running through the city, connects the visitor journey with different exhibition nodes; and the floating spheres represent the ideas and energy of youth as they move, meet, and collide within the city.
Following these veins of light through the exhibition, visitors move across different nodes and discover how resources are connected, how creativity emerges, and how young people turn ideas into action.
The journey concludes in a space where the spheres converge. Here, different ideas and energies meet, collide, and accumulate—symbolizing how young people continue to participate in shaping the city, create new possibilities, and allow the city to take on new forms through every act of participation.
